Crack stitching and pointing is a vital part of the repair process, More often than not the home owners only sight of the repair is the final pointing or the reinstatement of surface finishes. When installing masonry reinforcement Shire use specialist dust free cutting tools to keep mess and damage to a minimum. Once the bed joint is removed, high strength stainless steel wires are trimmed to length and fitted into the bed joint. The wires are bonded in high strength grout. The wire and grout is then compacted into the bed joint of the brickwork. The completed repair is pointed up and will become barely visible once the pointing has dried.
